The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters

Goya's "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters"
"A man seeking wisdom, yet subject to a swirling maelstrom of stupidities and evils."
- "The Sleep of Reason..." as described by Linda Simon at The World and I click to read more

Some days I feel absolutely crazy. Being an artist is never a place of stability! I'm trying to stay reasonable but as an artist I'm totally idealistic! I think I'm awake enough to keep the monsters at bay...and hope being a dreamer is not completely unreasonable!

Great picture. Made me think of my lawyer husband, Ron, the night before a trial starts.

I like the drawing! My sleeping pattern is all over the places. I enjoy visiting and seeing what you create. Have a golden weekend! xoxo

Oh no, it's about the only way to stay sane, keep one foot in front of the other, etc. A writer living in DC & finding oneself compelled to explain to people why genocide affects them? Can't begin to explain how most of us aren't crazy in this "business." Thanks for the post, the thought, the drawings....xoxo
