Happy Birthday Edgar Allan Poe

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

The tradition of leaving a half bottle of bourbon
and (usually) a single rose on Edgar Allan Poe's
Gravestone in Baltimore come every birthday
(the giver remains a mystery..)

I forgot to post about one of my favorite authors birthdays! Glad you did:)
Of course it was my daughter too that day. The post office has a new Poe stamp out that is really neat. Bought a bunch yesterday.
