Vineyard Spring
So spring is finally starting to show itself out here on the Vineyard! After all the rain these past couple of days the grass is starting to turn green and the daffodils are getting ready to bloom! I'm always amazed at the return of spring! It's as if the world sharpens and comes into focus again! (the top photo's driving in the car and below is last years spring-a sneak peek of what's to come...)

Do you miss this cat seven times?
Most ingenius way of retrieving your cat and inducting him into the hall of stardom...
All the cats out here on the Vineyard seem to go M.I.A. could it be aliens? a Chinese restaurant? or cats running in shame because of their given name (we've seen Durbin, Piquillo Pepper and Bramble...hmmmm...)
It's not even my cat and this poster made me miss him!
Technical difficulties- more art, Royal Academy style always works well...
Due to no internet access at home I had to blip over to the library this morning to get connected- it's amazing how dependent I've become on the internet! Kind of scary too! ack so until technical difficulties are resolved I leave you with this beautiful wall of art found via sfgirlbybay Love the display!

Spring!
I think my hand and pen knew it was spring before my mind did! Don't know where all these garden drawings came from today but love it! Hope you're having a great week! I've been so busy updating, scanning, and photographing that it was great to just sit down and draw today! Hope it's looking more spring like where you're at, here on the vineyard it's still gray and dull! I can't wait for the full burst of color and smell of flowers and cut grass!
Orange boots Lecia
I had an urge to do a cat with orange boots which made me think of Lecia of A Day That is Dessert and her love of orange (and the orange boots she almost purchased!) Sorry the boots got cut off- it was the end of the paper! oh well, hehe If you don't know Lecia already go visit her blog for her wonderful photographs which turn the everyday into the sublime! I always remember Lecia as the photographer because her name sounds like Leica, the maker of the best camera ever!
Get on your boots! (even if they're not orange...)

Cheese Heart
My heart goes out to Lance Armstrong- just found out he broke his right clavicle in the Vuelta de Espana- after cancer what's a little collar bone break going to stop? (btw I love this heart shaped cheese from amy's flickr stream!)

Recipe Cards
10 Cat Recipe Cards and 4 Cat Cards- 4 x 5 in. each
I love that Joyce from A Perfect Beginning sent me the recipe for dark Irish soda bread for St. Patricks Day and I wanted to write it down on something special so i made up a batch of new recipe cards! I know my mom used to keep all her recipes on file in a little yellow box and it was so special pulling out those index cards with flour, grease and memories still clinging to them! Our favorite thing to bake was chocolate chip cookies except we had to make a batch without the chips because I didn't like chocolate then! Can you believe it?! Now I eat way too much! hehe
ANyways, they're something you'll keep for a lifetime and pass on to family and friends so I thought it would be fun to make up my own kitty version! Plus y'all put up so many good recipes all the time... here's the shop link Dancing Cat Recipe Cards aka Can't Sate the Beast!

Hope your weekend's off to a great start! I keep listening to Vivaldi's Spring since I put it on my blog below (even though I have the whole album with all the seasons-doy!) I'm going to go turn it up real loud now on the bose until I can feel the cellos shake the room and the strings pierce the air and I'm grinning from ear to ear at the beauty of it all! YAY SPRING (again)!... (ok and maybe the other seasons as well since they're all so good!)
