OK. Of course there is...there's a majorly hugely popular yoga cat book & another one would be snapped up in a flash because its been a few years. I'll send them an email, as well. That's so weird. Cats & yoga sell, & well. Even now.
there must be a way for you to do some online research (amazon, b&n) to find out about similar books. people who love cats, illustrations and kids would love your book. there must be sites devoted to everything cat.
this issue might come up with other publishers, so if you could address it in advance that would improve your chances for publication. and, you could get back to chronicle with some independent numbers. don't just accept no.
i don't have any first hand experience, but it just seems like this kind of thing helps when we try to sell anything. xo, c

Oh, I haven't visited in too long. I've just been back through the US Open and the Met and polypro... The cats are perfect! They need to publish you!

Don't give up! I love your little cat stories via art. They are sweet and charming.
I think there is an audience for it, for sure. I love your cats. I love seeing new drawings almost every day on flickr.
