We made it down to the Baltimore Print Studios Grand Opening!
The most pleasing and distinctive thing was Baltimore's own National Bohemian beer.
Also of note was a 4'6" tiny and angry girl with a printing press tattoo on the back of her twig-like thigh. The tattooist must have been good with miniatures, like the guy that can make the Declaration of Independence on the head of a pin... Her fly like movements avoided a good capture of the miniaturists work. However we were able to snap a quick shot of a lunging Mondo Bizzaro.
A pencil thin creature with a wild bushy hairdo and coonskin cap with horn rimmed glasses, black dress oxfords, no socks, and a buffalo plaid shirt. Not to mention it was at least a head taller than everyone in the room... I heard it mention "I live off cheese..."
There was an abundant supply of polite gallery food, such as chips, salsa, humus, dips, celery, carrots, crackers- the usual fare, and cheese! (much to Mondo Bizzaro's delight...)
Printing demonstrations.
Letterpress and silkscreen
A turntable played music nobody could hear (we only noticed it on our way out)
The disc of choice.
(I'd love to make a Chick Likes Meatball letterpress print, hmm may have to investigate their winter courses!)
